If anyone is unaware that the latest 007 extravaganza – Skyfall – launches this weekend I would have to argue that they clearly must live under a stone. Skyfall is everywhere. James Bond is on our buses, our billboards and with the release of Adele’s theme song for the movie, on the radio too.

But what has been really evident this time around is the big push of sponsorship commercials. From Coca Cola to Sony – the sponsors certainly haven’t held back.

Some may argue that Bond is losing its tradition – selling out in some way – but blatant product placement has always been a sort of accepted faux pas over the years; adding to the lighter, more humorous side of the James Bond brand.

I for one have been completely sold on all things Skyfall – I may even buy myself a Coke Zero on my way there!

Here are the top 5 sponsorship ads for 007 Skyfall. Enjoy!

1. Omega

Ever since Golden Eye in 1995, millions of people await the latest edition of the Omega Seamaster released in conjunction with the film, and this time is no different. I don’t think I would be alone in saying a James Bond watch has always been a childish fantasy, kitted out with all sorts of in-built gadgets from microphones to a handy zipwire for unplanned escapes. Omega stay in keeping with the Bond franchise and of all the Skyfall adverts keep it the most cool, old school and well lets be honest, sexy!…

2. Coke Zero (You have 70 seconds)

Everyone loves a viral ad these days and while lots of people might hate to say it – Coke Zero have done well here. Who cares if it’s ‘real’ or not? It’s great!

3. Heineken

Ok, so it’s not a martini, and you certainly don’t want it shaken, but Mr Craig still makes it look so good!

4. Coke Zero (Unlock the 007 in you)

Coke Zero’s original add really gets the Bond in you going.

5. Sony

Undoubtedly one of the main features of a James Bond film are the gadgets and the iconic scene where Q walks Bond through his lab showing off his wares. Usually accompanied by some standard Bond quips and an exasperated Q! Here’s Sony’s advert which compiles all their technology featured in the film – is it perhaps a bit lack lustre?
