At a media event in San Francisco on Wednesday September 12th Apple officially introduced the long-awaited latest version of the iPhone – the iPhone 5.

Accompanying the newest upgrade to their most financially valuable product we’re expecting the imminent launch of the iPhone 5 ad campaign. So in anticipation we’ve trawled through the 89 (yes 89!) iPhone commercials from the last 5 years and present the commercials that introduced all 5 previous models to the world…

iPhone “Hello” Airdate: 3/2/07

The first iPhone teaser spot – first seen at the Oscars in 2007 – stitches together movie and TV scenes with famous actors and actresses on the phone.



iPhone 3G “Hallway” Airdate: 6/10/08

Hallway is a rare story-driven spot, which plays out like something from a spy movie…



iPhone 3GS “Break-In” Airdate: 6/12/09

The spy theme is back in the launch spot for the iPhone 3G S, the first model that’s able to shoot video.



iPhone 4 “Big News” Airdate: 7/12/10

Apple ditch the spy-theme and go for a traditional introductory launch ad focussing on FaceTime, the face-to-face video-calling feature.



iPhone 4s “Siri Assistant” Airdate: 10/20/11
