From CGI to stone carving: Sixty London

The first upper level stones at 60 Holborn Viaduct (AKA Sixty London) have recently been completed, marking the end of the journey from CGI (computer-generated imagery) to hand-carved stone.

The intricate designs of the stone proved to be a painstaking task for both the stone carvers and our CGI team. Over 100 hours of carving were required to create the 3 Portland Perryfield Whitbed stones – a similar time period required to sculpt the complex designs as 3D images.





Our in-house 3D artists were tasked with modelling the old gate house including every last detail on each of the stones from scratch for our recent full CGI promotional film for Sixty London – see below.
